Founded in 2021, Quantinuum claims to be the world’s largest integrated quantum computing company. It offers quantum computers, software solutions, and developer tools. It is the first company to support a fully fault-tolerant universal gate set with repeatable error correction. It is on track to deliver a fully fault-tolerant quantum computer, Apollo, by 2029. In June 2024, the company launched a quantum computer with a record 56 trapped-ion qubits and a 100x improvement on the previous record set by Google in 2019. In February 2025, it launched the Generative Quantum AI framework (Gen QAI), a technology that uses quantum computing to train AI models. In March 2025, it collaborated with the NVIDIA Accelerated Quantum Computing Research Center to improve Gen QAI. Marquee investors such as Honeywell, JP Morgan Chase, Mesh Ventures, Mitsui, and NVentures, among others, have invested in Quantinuum.
