Cody Capps is a seasoned private market professional with a decade of experience across capital markets, institutional trading, and venture-backed secondary transactions. Most recently, Cody served as Senior Director on the Institutional Markets Desk at Forge Global, where he quickly rose to become one of the firm’s top producers, building the majority of his book from scratch and representing the lion’s share of volume for several major institutional clients.
Prior to Forge, Cody spent nearly seven years at Citi, where he transitioned from regulatory and strategy roles into front-office positions across Investment Grade Credit and Commodities Sales & Trading. His time at Citi provided a strong foundation in both structured products and complex capital structures, which he has since applied to late-stage private market transactions.
Cody is known for his tenacious client-first approach, his ability to originate and close off-market secondary block trades, and his deep relationships across hedge funds, family offices, founders, corporate development teams, and crossover investors. A graduate of Marist University, Cody holds Series 7 and 63 licenses and is now a Partner and Head of Private Shares Trading at Manhattan Venture Partners, where he is leading the buildout of a high-touch secondary trading desk and helping to scale MVP’s platforms.
